Help Us Feed The Hungry

St. Petersburg, FL, April 18, 2008 — This year’s National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out
Hunger Food Drive is Saturday, May 10. N.A.L.C. Branch 1477 arranges for food collected in south
Pinellas County for the Free Clinic Food Bank. This year, over 85 volunteers are needed, particularly
van and truck drivers. We need the following types of vehicles to transport food from remote postal
sites to the Free Clinic Food Bank: pickup trucks (any size), full size vans, tow behind trailers
(landscaping, 4-wheeling, enclosed), box trucks (able to carry pallets), step vans with rear door; mini
and full-size vans to shuttle volunteers between the Free Clinic Food Bank and postal drop-off sites.
Individual volunteer needs are: site leaders at post office sites (2:00 PM – 5:30 PM), people to help
take food off mail trucks at post office sites (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM), and people to sort incoming food at
the Free Clinic Food Bank (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM).

If you or your group can help, please contact Rebecca Russell-Gootee at 727-821-1200 ext. 114.
