Doubletree Resort on North Redington Beach
has been a regular supporter of the Free Clinic
Food Bank for a number of years. The past
holiday season they had one of our most
successful corporate food drives, collecting
approximately 1,500 pounds of food. They have
adopted Marjorie Rawlings Elementary School
and supported that school's food drive, which
contributed over 800 pounds of food to the Food
Bank.

This past month, Doubletree Resort on North
Redington Beach had an
Employee Rally and
asked their management staff to donate food to
the Food Bank. This Rally collected 286 pounds
of food for the Free Clinic Food Bank.
Furthermore, they also donated blankets to be
used at Free Clinic Beacon House, a shelter for
men, and a two night's stay for a silent auction
item for Battle of the Minds.

Because of the generosity of Valpak, the Free
Clinic now has a video that tells our forty year
story. Lisa Inserra and Matthew Scott spent many
hours shooting over 13 hours of footage, which
Lisa edited to approximately 10 minutes of video.
Joe Bourdow provided the voiceover for the
narration of the video.
THANK YOU TO VALPAK
FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!

Also, March 3-17, Valpak's Blue Crew is
supporting the Free Clinic by hosting a
household supplies drive.

40 students at Shorecrest Preparatory School have recently adopted the Empty Bowls
project.
Empty Bowls is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing money to
charities and food banks in order to help feed the hungry. These students have spent a
week preparing ceramic, hand-made bowls, securing donations of soup and bread
from local restaurants, and establishing the details of the event. The donations
received from this project will go to St. Petersburg Free Clinic. The event will take place
at Shorecrest on April 10th, 12pm-2pm. In exchange for a minimum $10 donation,
guests will receive a hand-crafted bowl filled with a simple, yet delicious soup, helping
to fight hunger in our community. Additional information can be found on Facebook or
their website.
