What ages do you serve?
We serve those between the ages of 18 and 64.
What services do you offer?
Assessments, medical diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses; patients are seen for
initial assessment and short-term follow-up.
Can I get my medications through the clinic?
The clinic can assist you to get certain medications. The clinic cannot assist with narcotic pain
prescriptions, muscle relaxants, or psychiatric medications.
Can I get birth control at St. Petersburg Free Clinic?
St. Petersburg Free Clinic does not offer birth control. Please contact the Pinellas County Health
Department at 727-824-6900.
I think I may have a sexually transmitted disease. Can I make an appointment?
We do not treat sexually transmitted diseases. Please make an appointment, immediately, with the
Pinellas County Health Department at 727-824-6900.
My child is starting school soon. Can she get her shots at Free Clinic Health Center?
We only see patients between the ages of 18-64 who have no insurance and do not qualify for
Medicaid. In addition, we do not give immunizations. If you need immunizations call the Pinellas
County Health Department at 727-824-6900.
I was in a car accident, a lawsuit is pending, and I need medical care. What do I do?
Have your attorney draw up a letter and present it to the hospital or clinic of your choice, as most will
accept that and provide treatment.
I have leftover prescription medications. How do I donate them?
The only prescription medications we accept are samples from physicians, and they must be in their
original, sealed containers and not have reached the expiration date.
Do you offer dental care?
We do not offer dental care, but you can call the Mobile Medical Unit for an extraction referral
(727-582-7807) or call Pinellas County Human Services for the same (727-582-7781). For other
dental concerns you may get more information from Johnnie Ruth Clarke at 727-821-6701.
Can I get a disabled parking permit through St. Petersburg Free Clinic?
No, but you could consider a sliding scale clinic such as Bayfront Family Practice Clinic at
727-8930-6116 or Johnnie Ruth Clarke at 727-821-6701.
How do I make an appointment for an annual well woman exam?
We do not offer OB/Gyn exams, but you can call Pinellas County Health Department at 727-824-6900
or a sliding scale clinic.
I think I may need anti-depressants. Can I get a prescription?
We do not treat depression. Please call Suncoast Clinic at 727-552-1053.
