| Everyone Needs Love |
Ask Juanita Motsinger, RN, why she gives her time to the Free Clinic
Health Center, St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen and SOS Ministries, and
she'll tell you "It's very simple - everyone needs to be treated like a human
being - they need love just like all the rest of us." In addition to working with
people in a volunteer capacity, Juanita also belongs to the Gulfport Garden
Club.
Juanita is retired from the VA Hospital in Tampa. She worked with many
patients over a span of 31 years, and retired from working in the outpatient
oncology clinic. Even after retirement, Juanita kept in touch with her
patients. This past Thanksgiving Day, the parents of one recently
deceased patient had her join them for dinner. Juanita delivers a level of
care that endears her to the hearts of others.
Juanita offered her skills to the Free Clinic Health Center after seeing a
"call for nurses" in the Gulfport Gabber. She makes herself available at
least one day a week, and came in full-time to cover when Marcia Clark,
nurse coordinator, went on vacation. Juanita is attentive to patient needs
and delivers professional nursing care with dignity and respect for
everyone.
